Dear friends and family.
We are writing you all to let you know that we are all preparing for the 19th annual Women's Memorial March that will be held in Vancouver, February 14, 2010. Every year for 19 years we have walked in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver to honour the Missing and Murdered women on February 14. This is an opportunity for all the family members to gather and talk to other families who have suffered these tragic losses in their lives.
We would like to extend and invitation to all of you to attend this very important march.
As you all may know, the Olympic's will also be here and the eyes of the world will be on Vancouver. We would like to show our solidarity with as many family members as possible.
It has been brought to my attention that there are many family members who would like to attend and are presently in the process of fundraising for this important day. We are also working on trying to get billeting for at least a couple of days. We want to show the world that our beautifuil women are gone, but not forgotten.
If you have any suggestions or know anyone who wants to attend, please let us know ahead of time so we can help with the arrangements. We are a non profit organisation and may not be able to help financially, but, we also know that this event is important for the families to honour and walk for their loved ones. We will do whatever we can to make your stay in Vancouver comfortable.
At this time I would like to send you prayers for good health, safety and healing. We hope to see you there.

but im reaching out to everyone today on behalf of Janice.

Janice is asking for everyones help to find her MISSING daughter Mary-Lynn Baltzer.

Mary-Lynn Baltzer 48 years old, who is known by people as M-L

was reported missing in Banff on October 5, 2008.

Mary-Lynn Baltzer was last seen on October 4, 2008

on Wolf and Bear Street in Banff.

When Mary-Lynn went missing she weighed approximately 119 lbs,

she was 5’5” tall and she had blonde hair.

Mary-Lynn also has a Edgehill ring, she wears glasses and had a gold necklace with a Capricorn symbol, she also wears a watch and earrings.

When Mary-Lynn was last seen she was wearing a dark coat, a dark hat and had a black back pack.

In the last two years Mary-Lynn has had to have four breast related operations, she also has scarring on her chest, her right knee and her leg from previous surgery.

We are asking anyone who has any information on the whereabouts of Mary-Lynn or knows what happened to Mary-Lynn after the last time she was seen to immediately contact:

Morrice Town was the first to put up a warning sign.

Terrace was next to put up sign(s)

one sign is located on the thornhill frontage road,

and the second sign is located Kitstumkalum

Hazelton Also put up a sign

Kitimat has a sign

And I saw a sign in Kitwanga (will get a photo asap)

I hope to see even more warning signs go up .

I have some bad news to pass along as the walk4justice2008 group was makeing their way threw Edmonton Alb. the pilot car was hit.Driver Willie and a passanger were taken to hospital.
There are beleived to be ok.awaiting some test results.
my thoughts and prays are with you both,i wish you both a speedy recovery.
Charges are being layed against the other party involved.

Its so for me to think after all the Kermodie friendship did donateing car and driver,the car will never complete the trip to ottawa.

The car is believed to be a ride off.

Donations are still needed for those who have continued on.
somethings that are needed are Pilot cars/vans to escote and transport walkers,

I want to start by saying I had the honor of taking part in the walk4justice 2008 with the group from Prince Rupert to Terrace and I also took part in the walk with the group from Terrace to Kitwanga.

It was awsome we had an eagle circle over head 4 times and then fly off.I heard Natives believe it was a sign their ancestors were walking with us in spirit.

I met some great people.It was an exsperence I will never forget!

Id like to say GOOD LUCK to Elvis .Elvis is one of the people who is going all the way to Ottawa.

I will keep you in my thoughts,have a safe journey.Thank you for being a VOICE .

RCMP Sergeant Lierre Lemaitre updates media on Highway of Tears investigation
Prince George, B.C. - RCMP have added nine more names to the file of murdered or missing women along B.C.’s highways.
Initially, the investigation focused on Highway 16, but some of the cases added are communities along Highway 97.
Sergeant Pierre Lemaitre of the RCMP says the investigation has expanded to include cases as far south as Kamloops and Merritt, and as far east as Hinton Alberta.
Over the past year, the review of the cases used geographic and criminal profiling as well as the Violent Criminal Link Analysis System to check for anything that would be common to all the cases. After reviewing 200 cases, the investigation is now focusing on 18 cases.
When asked if police believe if the murders and disappearances are the result of a serial killer, Lemaitre would only say, “I would hope not”
Some of the cases that have been added to the list date back as far as 38 years.
Lemaitre says they haven’t made any arrests, and won’t say if they have any suspects, but they are asking the public to come forward with any information that might assist in this investigation. “We know there are people out there who know something, it may be a waitress who overheard a conversation, or maybe you heard something at a drinking establishment, it may seem like nothing to you, but those little tips, little bits of information are invaluable to us.”
Lemaitre says investigators met with family members of the murdered and missing yesterday and coverage of the update on this case did spark “dozens of tips”.
He says despite what some may think, the RCMP has enough resources and sufficient funding for this case “We are working towards ensuring who ever is responsible for this, is brought to justice.”

Tamara CHIPMAN Investigation - Two Year Anniversary Update
The investigation into the disappearance of Tamara Chipman has remained an ongoing and active investigation being handled by the Terrace Detachment with the assistance of Prince Rupert Detachment and the Terrace Regional GIS section.
In the past year, investigators have made significant progress in eliminating a number of tips as well as concentrating on some more compelling leads. On September 22, 2007, a trained Ground Search & Rescue Team assisted police in searching a wooded area east of Prince Rupert. The search did not uncover any meaningful evidence.
Information has been shared with the Highway 16 investigative review team who are currently examining files of women who have gone missing or murdered along the highway. While the investigation into Chipman’s disappearance continues to take positive steps, it is too early to know if this information will be of any assistance to the Highway 16 review team.
On September 21st, 2005, Tamara CHIPMAN was last seen hitchhiking on Highway 16, east of Prince Rupert, BC. The police are still asking for the public to contact either the Terrace or Prince Rupert Detachments with any information related to this investigation.

Hazelton RCMP are investigating women’s clothing found near Moricetown for a possible link to missing and murdered women on Hwy 16.

A decade ago, a wood cutter stumbling across clothing strewn in the woods near the highway probably would not have thought much about it.

But over the last few years, awareness that possibly more than 30 women have disappeared or been murdered between Prince Rupert and Prince George since the 1970s, the 742-kilometre stretch of road has been dubbed the Highway of Tears and garnered worldwide attention.

When Clarence and Lorraine Joseph discovered a backpack and some female garments dumped by the side of a deactivated logging road west of Moricetown, it raised their suspicion. They left the clothes alone and called the Smithers police.

Florence Naziel — Lorraine’s cousin and a relative of Tamara Chipman, the last-known woman to disappear — said they all felt it was significant because of the location.

“Matilda [Wilson] showed us where Ramona’s body was found and it was just like this,” she said.

Ramona Wilson disappeared in the spring of 1994 and her body was found a little more than a year later by a horse trail near the Smithers Airport.

Ray Michalko, a Surrey-based private investigator and former RCMP detective who is investigating the Highway of Tears disappearances, said the site is the type of locale a murderer might use for a body dump.

Two weeks after the Josephs made the discovery, they were once again in the area and the clothes were still there.

They notified Michalko and The Interior News. Michalko — who was in Prince George preparing to do a search with volunteers of the Norman Lake Road area for Nicole Hoar’s body — said he passed the information on to the Smithers RCMP detachment.

On Thursday, Lorraine and Naziel led The Interior News to the site. West of the Moricetown gas bar 6.6 kilometres is an abandoned logging road. Approximately 200 metres down the road, well-sheltered and out of sight of the highway, a backpack, a pair of women’s jeans, some black lingerie and an unidentifiable garment lay snarled in the branches of a bush approximately 10 metres to the left side of the road. Another 30 metres or so into the forest, two more piles of clothing were marginally visible matted into the forest floor. Within a 100-metre radius of the clothes there were no obvious signs of human remains.

Sgt. Tod Scott, Hazelton’s top cop, said Smithers had passed the file along two weeks ago, but officers were unable to find the location or contact the Josephs until The Interior News passed along the information on Friday.

Officers from the detachment, accompanied by Naziel, retrieved the garments on Friday afternoon. Scott said the clothing was too wet and mouldy to process immediately, but will be examined for some kind of identification and passed along.

“We’ll certainly make the [Highway of Tears] Task Force aware of [the discovery],” Scott said..

Volunteers Needed For Highway of Tears Investigation Search

As a result of my Highway of Tears Investigation to date, I am going to conduct a physical search of an area along Norman Lake Road, which is located South of Highway 16, approximately 43 kilometers West of Prince George. Both the RCMP and Prince George Search & Rescue have been apprised of the intended search.

Due to the size of the area in question, I am looking for volunteers that are willing to provide assistance.

Volunteers are asked to be at the junction of Highway 16 and Norman Lake Road on Saturday, May 12th, at 9:00AM.

Each volunteer should come equipped with drinking water, lunch, an object that can be used to prod the ground and greenery (such as a ski pole), and rain gear if necessary, as there is no shelter or other facilities available and the search will occur rain or shine.

Hello Folks!
My family and I are having a family crisis and we could really use
your help. I have a daughter that has gone missing and I would like to
get her picture circulated via the internet to any one that you know
that has internet access.
I have attached a couple of pictures of her that are a couple of
weeks old. My daughter Reanne and her friend Ashley were seen in
Airdrie at the Mall at about 6pm Friday March 9th with a teenage boy
16-19 yrs old. They were all spotted again sometime Saturday March
10th early afternoon in Crossfield at the Bigway foods by one of the
cashiers, and this is the last sighting that we have heard of. We do
have the police involved as well and they have no leads as of yet.
My daughter's Name is Reanne Kathleen Vukic and she is 12yrs old. Her
friends name is Ashley she is 13yrs old and looks similar to my
daughter but with longer hair.

The RCMP are making good on their promise to keep the families of Highway of Tears victims in the loop.
On March 2, Supt. Leon Van der Walle, head of the Highway of Tears task force was in Smithers to give an update.
"It was fairly good, actually," said Matilda Wilson, mother of Ramona Wilson who disappeared in 1994 and whose remains turned up almost a year later.
"They're still not going to give us all the details, but everything sounds pretty promising."
Wilson said she realizes making headway on her daughter's murder is a long shot, but the police force's new commitment to communication gives them hope.
"That's a plus for us because now we know they're working hard at what they're doing," she said.
Wilson told The Interior News the families were informed of several initiatives the RCMP are undertaking including profiling, investigating locations and putting out the word to anglers, hunters and people who work in the bush to be on the lookout for potential clues.
"It takes a long time because there's so many logging roads that need to be looked at," Wilson said.
Meanwhile, Ray Michalko, the Surrey private investigator also continues to work the case.
"I just spent some time in Kamloops chasing down some Tears leads and am going to be working in Smithers sometime between April 14 and 18," he told The Interior News.
Michalko said he has several people of interest to talk to and will pass any information he gathers on to RCMP investigators.

Hon Phung is Asian,

5 feet 9,

130 pounds,

with a slim build,

short grey hair

and dressed in blue.

If you have any information on his disappearance, you're asked to call the RCMP.

One moment he was shopping with his family at a mall in Richmond,

the next moment he was gone.

Richmond RCMP need your help in finding

83-year-old Hon Phung.

He disappeared from the Yaohan Centre Mall on Saturday.

if so WHY?
where did they go?
why havent they called?
where they taken because they are native girls?
why should the color of their skin matter?
why have women been disapearing for 30+ years and only now people are starting to take notice?
how many more vitcum will there be before we get answers?
will we ever get answers?
even if we find answers will we find justis?
is there such thing as justis?

The Highway Of Tears..

For over possibly as many as 30 years or more,young women have been disappearing between Prince George BC and Prince Rupert BC..Today the list of highway of tears women has 10 names on it.Saddly a 5 of those names have been found murdered..

But that still leaves 5 women unaccounted for..The RCMP have been involved with these cases since day 1,but saddly there are NO suspects,NO leads

Happy to report that more and more people are takeing an interest we have private investigater,+a filmmaker,who are both leading there talents..At NO cost to family of the victums..There also has been a site www.highwayoftears.com set up out of Prince George BC..A CD has just been released ..
